I understand that a lot of folks who read this blog regularly disagree with my approach to immigration reform (tough, practical, and fair – I don’t think rounding up and deporting 12 million people makes a whole lot of sense). But I also know that most of my readers are very thoughtful and can agree that this rhetoric is fear mongering at its worst. We can disagree on what immigration reform looks like. In fact, I welcome the disagreement. I only ask that we all stick to the facts, and attempt to have a principled conversation about how we move forward.

The people of NJ and the USA are tired of being told we are not doing more for people in need. We all come from immigrant families. We however don’t like people abusing the system. That is all Lou Dobbs is pointing out. We welcome Lou to Fox News. Oh and Alicia can you smell that, it’s the wind of hope and change.

First, thank you for the compliment. Second, if you don’t like to hear the complaints then you shouldn’t be in the public sphere. Its funny that you would say I was harassing you. Some would call it Free Speech you know like the way you went after Dobbs. But to a liberal Democrat such as yourself I guess dissenting speech is harassment. Oh and thanks for taking time out of your busy day to respond.

No matter how many times you say it, you and your father are advocates for illegal immigration and everyone who even has half a brain knows it. You and your father seem to think that Hispanics are superior to any other. I hate to tell it to you this way but it was everyone from different countries who contributed to the wealth of this nation. I work with Hispanic people who contribute positively to my company’s bottom line. They unlike “Immigration Rights Activists” actually work real hard so they and their kids are honest members of society. Immigrants should be allowed into this country in equal proportion to the population of their old home country.
