Stanford Review
September 21, 2009
Apparently The Stanford Review “an independently run student newspaper owned by The Stanford Review, a non-profit corporation, and registered as a voluntary student organization at Stanford University” is looking for a few lovely Conservative ladies including a “Libertarian Looker.”
I’m no Conservative recruitment expert, but wouldn’t this only succeed in recruiting more conservative men? Is that the whole point? And who else – by a show of hands – would like to see the motley crew that conceptualized this ad?

I’ll lay 20 to 1 odds that the Ham & Egger who wrote that ad is a sniveling, Beta male Progressive–probably around 5’6, 140, and sporting a pair of coke bottle glasses. To be sure, every conservative guy at Stanford already knows that there are plenty of really attractive and intelligent traditionals over at Pi Beta Phi. It’s not that they are a “marginalized minority”–it’s just that they’d sooner be full-on lesbians than hang out with bedwetting journalist types. They’d laugh all night at the thought of being called marginalized by some celery eater.
Alicia – like the reverse would not be true. I’m sure you get a lotta attention from those sensitive LIB guys.
