Did you read Paul Krugman’s op-ed about these Tea parties?

It’s a frightning expression of how crazy the right wing – and sadly the bulk to the Republican party – have not only become, but been for the last few decades.

I find it so odd and troubling that these big corporations are able to exploit so many people so easily by just waving flags and using words like “freedom”. Just look at how they do this with health care and how many people they dupe into buying it!

    Scary …. and sad/

I think this unfairly characterizes Tea Party participants as rich and out of touch. It’s a pretty naieve view that thinks the excessive government spending from both the dems and repubs is without consequence.

    Bullshit (excuse the term, AM)
The Tea Parties are anything but sponsored events. Unlike liberal bus-ins.
I made it a point to speak to many people at the Richmond Tea Party and they were not there on account of any “corporate” propaganda.
You people can try, in vain, to distort the reason folks came to the numerous Tea Parties, but what you fail to comprehend is that no matter how you attempt to spin it these grand people came together to voice their displeasure at those in D.C. , both Rep & Dem, who have seem to have sold their spines for a pouch of silver.
I saw NO EVIDENCE of any “corporate” presence here in Richmond. If there were any at other locales I would ask to see evidence of this, not just the usual false Leftist accusations.
By the way, how is it that you folks never raise like indignation when Al Sharpton buses people in for pro-liberal protests? *CRICKETS*

FACT: Today’s Tea Parties were in no way, shape, or form “corporate sponsored”. What they were are folks getting together demonstrating, (peacefully and without littering), their displeasure with the empty suits in D.C.

Alicia, you’ll make a lot of money pandering to the Leftist crowd, *if* that would be your goal. Yet, you’ll go further, and feel better, by stating the simple truth.
It’s your call. Choose your own path, it will affect you, solely.

I’m a steelworker, and I am ready, willing, and most able to debate President Scatterbrain on any issue or issues. Proviso: It has to be live, no editing. :^)
