American-born Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas is as talented as she is beautiful. Her lyrics are smart, sometimes irreverent and occassionally quite feminist. Hardcore fans claim he’s gotten too poppy but isn’t that always the complaint with women singer-songwriters? They cheer up – they acually sell some albums and then their fans are angry. Go figure.
